National Pancake Day at IHOP

ihopToday is National Pancake Day at IHOP.  Each guest who comes to dine at IHOP will receive a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes and all IHOP asks for in return is that you consider giving a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals or another designated local charity*.

What a great chance to enjoy some yummy pancakes and to give the money that you would have spent on breakfast, lunch or dinner to a wonderful cause!

Since beginning National Pancake Day in 2006, IHOP has been able to collect over $10 million to numerous charitable entities.

So, if you are in the mood for dining out today, please consider making IHOP your choice and help them continue raising money to help sick children around the world! (Click on link above for more information)

*a donation is not required to receive free pancakes

Zoe’s Corner: Play Free Games To Give Back To Children

gsn

Yes, you read that title correctly.

Once again, you can play free games on gsn.com and donate the “oodles” that you win to a deserving charity.  Last year it was the Salvation Army and this year it’s Toys For Tots!  All you have to do is sign up (or sign in if you already have an account), pick a game, and start earning those oodles for the kids!  If you are on a tight holiday budget, but still want to be able to help others during this special time of the year, this is the perfect way to do it!

You can give in increments of $5, based on the number of oodles that you have earned!  There are numerous game choices available for all different levels and interests so you can have fun while helping contribute to the wonderful work that Toys For Tots does every year.  And it doesn’t cost you anything!toys

Let’s all join together with GSN and help spread the word so we are able to donate as much as we can in time for the holidays!  It doesn’t get any easier than this!

**If you know of a free/inexpensive/easy way to help others or a specific charity, please let us know so we can spread the word!  We’re always on the lookout for new ways to help!**

Without further ado, the winners (chosen at random via our very scientific internet slot machine) are:

ABC Busy Bee Cake

Baby Sub Sandwich

Congratulations ladies; we will get you those prizes quickly!  Thank you again to everyone involved with this project.

Less Than One Week Left!

Our raffle to raise money for the babies in the NICU at TMH is still running through this Saturday!  We have had several generous friends buy tickets for this great cause, but we could still use your help!  $1 is all it takes – you’d be surprised how quickly those dollars add up!  And, if you don’t know someone who could use the prize should you win it, you can choose to donate the cake to a family at the NICU!  It’s another wonderful way to contribute!

Please take the time to read the previous blogs about the Milk Warmer Project and the diaper cake raffle for the NICU right now and help us donate as much as we can to the babies that need it most!

Buy your tickets securely here!
